Four scruffy little kittens played innocently in there pen as mother was out. All seemed well, except for one little kitten sulking just behind the pen. The other kittens didn’t give him much notice. Five, which was the unhappy kitten’s name, was known for being socially awkward and distant. However, Five was just struggling with growing up issues, and the biggest issue he was struggling with was the growing urge to eat his brothers and sisters. Unknowing to the rest of his siblings, Five would stay a wake at night, admiring the delicious and scrumptious features of his family. His brother’s big eyes reminded him of the glazed sheep’s eyes devoured in Bedouin feasts. His sister tail would twist and curl like a cinnamon scroll. His other brother whiskers and cheeks looked like they could be chopped up into bits to form a delicious pad thai while all he could think of was lamb shanks when he stared at his sister’s curved back. “Stop this!” he would say to himself. “You can’t eat your own family!” But it was the scent of his family that seemed to be devouring him. As time moved on, the scent grew stronger and stronger. Five tried to counter these raging urges by stuffing his face with cat food, but then he started imaging his sibling being turned into cakes and soufflés for dessert. Finally, he came to the decision that destiny was inevitable and he would have to eat his brothers and sister. He began plotting …
